Mr Mills has over 28 years legal experience and has practiced in both the public and private sector. His expertise and dedication to the application of law has seen him obtain Senior positions in the profession, including being second in charge of one of the Official Misconduct Units of the Queensland Crimal Justice Commission. Mr Mills believes in the Principles of Justice applying to all, and that no one is beyond the law. This is evidenced by his involvement in the sucessful prosecution of a Queensland Police Commissioner, the exposing of a Psychologist as a fraud and perjurer, and international custody disputes spanning the globe. Lani is employed in the role of Practice Manager and is responsible for the efficient operation of the day to day running of the firm. She is responsible for managing our administrative staff, is the first point of contact for all new client enquiries, and ensures the best person is appointed to the management of your matter.
Lani has worked in law for 18 years and at David Mills LAWYERS for over 10 years. She has previous experience in Conveyancing, Criminal and Family Law and now specialises in the administrative management of the Wills & Estates Section within the firm. Lani is passionate about the importance of Will making and Succession planning and practices a holistic approach in the care of her clients. She is committed to ensuring that you, as a valuable client, receive the best service available to meet the changing needs in the progressive area of Wills and Estates.
Lani is committed to ensuring her team are client focused and appreciative of the important role they play in a clients' life, often at challenging times.
She welcomes new enquiries during ofice hours and is available outside of office hours by appointment.
Lucille undertook professional studies at Griffith and Bond Universities, and has been employed in the private legal sector for over 6 years.
Her empathy with clients and personal experience in relation to Family Law matters has given her greater understanding of how to manage client cases with enormous respect, whilst offering encouragement and emotional support.
Lucille has represented clients in the Federal Magistrates and Family Court of Australia, District Court, Magistrates Court and Children’s Court. She represents clients in Family Dispute Resolution conferences which require patience, persistence and recognition that the best interests of the children are paramount. She has experience negotiating on behalf of clients during Family Group Meetings with the Department of Child Safety in regard to child protection matters.
Lucille "loves to shop" and enjoys going to the gym, watching movies and spending time with her family.
Jack has been practicing law for 4 years and has worked in the private, public and community legal sectors. He studied for his undergraduate and post graduate professional qualifications at Bond University.
Jack has a “can do” attitude and a down-to-earth and realistic nature. He has enjoyed a high level of success in achieving the best possible outcome for his clients and can positively resolve complaints and disputes in adverse situations. He has represented clients in a diverse range of matters and is experienced with instructing counsel through committal hearings, trials and sentencing in the Supreme and District Courts of Queensland.
Jack is a sports-minded chap and enjoys engaging in conversations about fishing, golf, football and cricket.
Karlah has been employed with the firm for a period of 3 years and is responsible for the day to day administrative management of the conveyancing department.
Karlah is committed to best practice protocols and is eager to ensure her clients needs are established early in the conveyance process to ensure the efficient operation of their matter. Karlah prides herself on being a supreme organiser and effective communicator and is only too willing to go above and beyond to ensure her clients best interests are protected at all times.
